Well what Guerrero did is what you do in most places in the US when traveling with a firearm, the problem for him is New York is not most places in the US.

You could do what he did 99.9% of the time at airports and things would be straight, in New York they roll differently. I would expect them to throw the book at Guerrero to make a point, but Guerrero has enough juice behind him to get it put off well into the future so I am pretty sure he will get to fight but beyond that his future is real dicey.
