Comments Thread For: David Price-Tony Thompson Rematch is Set For July 6

DAVID PRICE will meet Tony Thompson in a rematch at Liverpool’s Echo Arena on Saturday 6th July.

Secret negotiations between Price’s promoter Frank Maloney and the Washington DC southpaw have been going on for two weeks.

Contracts for the big 12 round international heavyweight return were finally signed late on Tuesday night.

When the pair clashed last month, two-time world title challenger Thompson caused a monumental upset stopping the 6ft 8in scouser in the second round.

Interesting choice, and a bold move~

Good luck to Price though because this is sink or swim management, it will be tough to comeback if he can't at the very least survive against Thompson.

Damn, I did not see that coming. Just like Price didn't see that shot in the 2nd round coming.

This is a make or break fight for Price. I'd love to see Thompson knock him out again.

Not a big fan or follower of David Price, but got to give it to him for taking the rematch so soon.

Thompson knows all he has to do is land one shot. I just hope he doesn't go out there all wild trying to do so. He should be patient and waited out like he did in the first fight.

Let's hope Thompson comes out on top and we get rid of another HW pretender.
