Yea in other words, earn the right to face a beatable fighter for a career high payday. Something to work for imo

I definitely agree with u, how the ****k Is Khan supposed to be the golden egg? When he has been beat by 2 of the contenders already. I hope one of these guys knock the socks off of Khan, he's so annoying.

He sells tickets. He is seen as a reward because he will bring in a bunch of money, maybe HBO knows how easy it will be for the winner of the tournament to run over Khan so he is literally the prize.

if i understand this article right.. how are champions fighting elite contenders (semi in judah's case) fighting each other for a CHANCE to face a glass jaw, who's done nothing to prove he deserves another shot at a belt?? no wonder HBO dropped GBP..

There is no reason that kahn should be at the end of this tourney(if it is a tourney). If he needs to starve himself then why even consider him for this? Loses too peterson and garcia so in other words if you lose 50 % of your last four fights your entitled to a title shot? ......awsome

The real reason why Khan is the last fight is because that is the only way that he will make it through the tournament without getting KO...LMAO

Peterson beat Khan in a close fight with 2 points taken off. It was a SD.

Plus he was on pellets.

The way i see it, this is the only way Khan would ever face Matthysse, by being forced in a tournament setting. My money is on Matthysse to come out of the Tourny as the Winner and i think Peterson is the only fighter who could give Lucas problems, with his adapting style and ability to absorb punches and counter. Both Matthysse and Peterson seem to get sharper and stronger the deeper they get into a fight so that will be interesting to see who wins the later rounds. If Lamont can keep from touching the canvas, it will be a very close fight but i still think Matthysse's Punching Power will make the difference. The Garcia vs Judah winner will lose to Peterson or Matthysse so its pointless to talk about either guy but i do pick Garcia to beat Judah by UD. Its sucks that the best matchup of the Tournament is happening in the first round with Matthysse vs Peterson but thats what happens when them Pansies at Golden Boy and Showtime put together a tournament. At least the Final with Khan will be a big Payday for everyone involved, so lets just hope Khan can stay on his feet past 5 rounds.

Something tells me this whole tourney is to protect Khan OR Garcia. They want PEDerson and Matthysse to wear each other out while Garcia and Khan will be fresh coming off of easier fights.
