Fort Worth, TX - Former 2008 U.S. Olympian Luis "The Latin Legend" Yanez (6-0-1, 1KO) fights tough and well-traveled Timur "Here Comes Trouble" Shailezov (16-6-1, 3KO) for the WBC U.S. Super Flyweight Championship on Friday, April 19th at the Cendera Center in Fort Worth, Texas.

This will be the first significant title shot for Yanez, who was captain of the Olympic team in Beijing and is now trying to re-energize his career with his biggest fight to date.

"It feels great, I've won a lot of titles in my amateur career and I'm used to working my way through the ranks. I'm just as excited to be fighting here in front of my hometown and a on a Paulie Ayala Productions show and I thank Paulie and Leti Ayala for that."

I'm glad to see this guy back in the ring. He had some good hype early, but has had a disappointing career thus far (with zero KOs and a couple split decisions and a draw). I'm wishing him the best.

Timur Shailezov will put up a good fight. I saw him in Hong Kong, losing a late doctor stoppage in a title fight with Rex Tso. He nearly had Tso out of there early and put up a hell of a fight. There's absolutely no quit in him. I don't know much about Yanez, but it sounds like he's got talent.
