I saw his fights against Hatton and Jones. He's def got some skills, although he did fade badly against Jones and got hit way too much. What are his chances against Alexander, who's talented but someone I don't think too highly of tbh
How good is kell brook?

I'm still not convinced he's that good. He is a decent fighter at Euro level but I'm not sold yet. The Jones fight was excellent from a fan point of view though.
I have Alexander a slight favourite in their bout. I'll know a lot more about Brook after that bout although the Devon that faced Maidana highly impressed me. The Devon that fought Kotelnik & Matthysse not so much. The leap up in weight seems to have benefited him. I didn't see the fight against Bailey. -
One thing I've been critical of is his having to always have his feet planted, he lunges in as well, and his inability to fight inside, which is why he'll either lock your head under his arm or push you. I like his offense though, just think he needs a lot more improvement. He can beat Alexander though, I think he will.Comment

If Alexander stuck to strictly boxing, I'd like him in this fight, but because he's gonna stand within Alexander's range for too long, be all squared up, and try to impose himself after getting hit cleanly...I gotta say this can go either way.Comment

I think he's a solid WW. Not as good as the best in the division, but def good enough to beat Alexander/Malignaggi and some of those guys. He's pretty quick, but is not super fast. Good movement, good power, good technique.
The interesting thing is that since he appointed a strength coach, he seems to be in totally different shape. So essentially, the Alexander fight will show how good he really is.Comment

I like brook but I think he has hung round the wrong level for too long and think he will be left wanting when he steps up. Being under frank warren who is afraid to test his fighters untill he can get them a crack at a wbo title hampered his progress. When he was under warren he was the wbo no.1 for quite a while, it was just a shame that manny pac was the champ. Now he's with Eddie Hearn he'll get his IBF shot (like all Hearn fighters), but I think alexander who has been on that level before will have too much experience for him. We seen what happened when brook fought Jones, he raced off to an early lead then gassed when jones came back at him. This should have raised alarm bells and showed that brook had become complacent fighting people who were a level below him, but in his very next fight they match him with saldiva who crumpled after a few rounds. I'm not alexanders biggest fan and I believe he lost the Kotelnik fight by a wide margin, quit against Bradley, then lost a decision (not wide but clear) to Matthysse, but he has been there and done it. Witter, urango, maidana and the stink fest v bailey show hes been there and done it. Even the other fights (3 losses by my count) he was never outclassed, proving he belongs at that level, something brook has never done.Comment

To me Kell's a nobody. He's very limited as a fighter and is too slow for the good fighters. At his best he's just a European level fighter and I see him getting schooled by Alexander or even getting stopped.Alexander's just too fast for him.Comment
