What is it that draws people to these?...hows the atmosphere.

is it just like watching a movie, with the lights off, etc...but obviously with more noise from the audience...i doubt people around here are gonna sit on their ass the whole time...and do they serve beer?

Yeah, it's pretty much like watching a movie. Lights off, and the same PPV feed everybody else is getting, except projected on a giant screen with surround sound. The crowd can get pretty into it though, and some people will stand and shout during tense moments. Tickets are like $20 though. It's a cool experience to me, but probably not for everybody.
