Polish heavyweight Mariusz Wach (27-1, 15 KOs) started sparring as he prepares for his comeback. Wach is looking to return in late April or early May. Last November Wach was badly beaten during his twelve round decision loss to unified heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko. Afterwards the Polish fighter tested positive for anabolic steroids.

Things like this make me believe boxing is a joke compared to other sports. You have a fighter who juiced in his previous fight and he's able to go on like nothing happened. Outside of the fighters reputation there is no real incentive not to cheat.

Apparently his promoter had his ban decreased to 6 months from a year, by paying a fine of several thousand Euros.

The whole drug test thing with Wach always seemed a bit off to me.
