Yeah, I saw him at the Peterson Holt fight, and was out of shape. But what bothered me was the fact that he was begging people for money to take a picture with him. He stopped me and asked if I would take a picture with him on my phone for $5.

I was going to take a pic with him, but he stopped my boy from taking the pic and asked me to give him the money first cause my boy may take the pic and run. I told him I was good on the pic and to have a good one. It was sad. I grew up watching his fights, and was super excited to meet him. And when I met him he sounded like one of these street DC cats trying to bum money off me.

It also says he's punch drunk and suffering brain damage as well, although boxing gave him a great life it has also destroyed it.

Before anyone says something like they don't feel sorry because he did this to himself, you gotta remember his brain damage probably played a big role in all of this. Ike Ibeabuchi went from a normal guy to going crazy after the Tua fight, Edwin Valero also suffered a traumatic brain injury back in like '04. These brain injuries can really affect your emotions and transform you into an entirely different person.

Ike Ibeabuchi went crazy from all the roids he was taking, not from boxing brain damage. Cops found roids in his car, in his home....he was a walking pin cushion.

Damn that is a messed up story. I was always a fan of his especially because he was from NYC. I'd heard before that he was broke but trying to bum money off people is just pathetic. You made your money and you blew it, dont go around acting like fans owe you their hard earned money now.

Rid**** was a great fighter, but he fought very few of the big name guys. No Tyson, Lewis, Morrison, Moore, Foreman, Mercer, Bruno, etc. So it's no surprise fans don't have the love for him that they have for Holyfield or Lewis or Tyson. ****, Shannon Briggs probably gets more people coming up to him.

Can't do much but feel bad for the guy.
