Bradley didn't need to go to war like he did, he chose to - he just didn't have the power to get his guy out of there however many times he landed flush.

Marquez did need to get closer to Pacquiao and go to war, because he hadn't been able to sway the judges to award him a decision in three prior attempts - to the surprise of almost all, he had the power to get his guy out of there with one shot.
