It was a tremendous performance by Stieglitz but let's not forget here, Abraham is still a B or a C class fighter. Stieglitz isn't that much better. Groves has the goods to bring the fight to him. I like his jab. I say book it!!!

If Stieglitz can smother Groves like he did Abraham he could win but from the outside Groves KOs him. He showed some power this past weekend.

I thought that this was being touted for Groves September fight?

Granted i'd much rather see it be the chief support for the Froch - Kessler fight and then have Saunders - Ryder in there too... would be epic, but I just don't see it happening.

Just read something about Groves saying it's going to be an official WBO eliminator to set up the September fight... Admittedly it's from the Sun which isn't exactly a fountain of knowledge!

Looking at the rankings before the Stieglitz v Abraham fight...
          1. Robert Stieglitz
          2. George Groves
          3. James DeGale
          4. Lucian Bute
          5. Ezequiel Osvaldo Maderna
          6. Sakio Bika
          7. Willbeforce Shihepo
          8. Isaac Ekpo
          9. Maxim Vlasov
          10. Darren Barker
          11. Adonis Stevenson
          12. Edwin Rodriguez
          13. Kenny Anderson
          14. Thomas Oosthuizen
          15. Yuzo Kiyota

A lot of these just won't happen for one reason or another (already fighting someone else, promotional issues, mandatory with another organisation)

          7. Willbeforce Shihepo
          8. Isaac Ekpo
          9. Maxim Vlasov
          13. Kenny Anderson
          14. Thomas Oosthuizen
          15. Yuzo Kiyota

I actually begrudingly put Kenny Anderson on here because it would sell due to their history!

I wouldn't mind seeing Oosthuizen, but i doubt it'd happen with the timescale

Nobody else interests me one bit

I think it's a great fight, make it happen. Groves has a much more elusive style than AA does and he is good enough to hold his own I think. Stieglitz' experience and size may be too much for him though, this would definitely be a defining fight for Groves.

I am sticking to my guns.....Stieglitz will cost an absolute fortune to get over to the UK to face Groves and he will surely wait for a less-risky, but just as profitable rematch with Abraham sometime in September/October.

Eddie will need to break the bank to get Stieglitz to travel and even then I just don't see it happening because Groves is too live and dangerous.

It is a shame for Groves, who is ready to go at this level and let's hope he stays focussed and patient.

I'd love to see this. Than Ward can fight the winner.

If he can mature in time Groves can most definitely beat Froch, he has the perfect style. He can box, move well and **** hard. He"ll be a handful for anyone in the future and I think he"ll go onto become a great British champion.

Groves said he's willing to travel to fight Stieglitz.

All I'll say is that if Steiglitz comes out like he did v Abraham in the second fight, I don't give Groves much of a shot (if Stieglitz fights like he did in the first fight, then yeah maybe Groves can do it).

If this happens on the way Froch undercard, I definitely buy the PPV
