I don't know if SM is gay or not, but i did think he did come across as such in some interviews. In reality, if he was gay, bi, or straight it won't change my opinion about him. Personally, i use to respect him, but i felt his disrespect to other fighters made me lose respect for him.
Martinez said Cotto had no balls because he didn't fight him. SM calls out smaller fighters like Pac and Mayweather in an attempt to get a great payday without taking the risk of moving up to face SMW like Ward, Froch, or Bute.
Remember, Martinez said after the Dzinziruk bout my dream is to be #1 P4P. Yet he was calling out Pac and Mayweather. If he wanted to be #1 he should take on bigger fish like the SMW division. SM really walks around 175, so going up to 168 is not a big deal. Just much more risk. I hope SM gets knocked out by Murray, but that is just wishful thinking.
As for the Sexuality issue. People need to face the fact that there are many gays in boxing who are still in the closet. This is a masculine sport and the fear is coming out will hurt their image. Very few fighters have been openly gay as Emile Griffith. Bernie Paret somehow understood that Griffith was gay and called him a gay slur than later Griffith killed him in the ring in retaliation. Many around boxer Panama AL Brown, KNEW he was gay, but he never came out.
Do you really think Orlando Cruz is the only current gay boxer out there? Of course not. But don't expect more to come out.
Ricky Martin was with women, than years later after speculation, he finally came out. Same thing with Lindsey Lohan on the female side. Rob Halford considered to be among the greatest rock vocalists took decades before finally coming out. People fear the backlash and scrutiny that comes with it.
Idk if he's gay or not personally don't care. But I do have to agree with a previous post I can remember watching one of the 24/7's with my gf and half way through the episode gf says "is he gay?"... Mind you this was the episode where Chavez was wearing pink underwear, granted we both laughed at Chavez but she was convinced that sergio was gay.
He just seems to give off that vibe and when you factor in the no wife, no kids, anti bullying "it gets better" etc... I can see where people would jump to that conclusion.
If someone were to tell you that a top 10 p4p boxer is 100% gay guess which one... Gun to your head... If you're right you live if you're wrong you die.
Who are you picking ?
Martinez is a good guy and he's gay. He's still my favorite boxer. Hugh Jackman is married to a like 58 yr old woman who is a nasty fat ugly pig and they have two adopted kids, but everyone knows the guy takes it. Being married means nothing, especially when you guys start saying he married some old lady to stay in Spain to work and box. He moved to the US and now he doesn't need her anymore.
A lot of guys having dreams about Sergio they're uncomfortable with
I think so too. The guy is a boss in the ring and has some kind of fashion sense or something. People letting their latent **** tendencies surface for some reason.

Really? lol, she always came off as someone who could be a ****star; a dirty slut. She likes the fish pies huh, I can dig it.
THE PLEDGE: Everyone deserves to be respected for who they are. I pledge to spread this message to my friends, family and neighbors. I'll speak up against hate and intolerance whenever I see it, at school and at work. I'll provide hope for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and other bullied teens by letting them know that it gets better.
it says on the first thing and other bullied teens. Who cares if he helps gay kids? I would you could be saving lies. and I'm not gay.
Martinez said in the argentine rolling stone that he wasn't gay and woman are his downfall or something lol go read it dawg
