The ring still has Floyd ranked #1 @ 154, so I doubt they're gonna make this fight for the ring belt, since they have a possible #1 vs #2 in the future.

It should be for the ring title because Mayweather is the ring's #1 at 154 and he will not be fighting at 154 anymore. They should remove him from the #1 spot for inactivity which would mean that Trout - Canelo would be for the ring title. Oscar owns the ring and he will do what ever he wants.
