  • Comments Thread For: Tyson Fury: I'm The Last UK Heavyweight Standing!

While the United States remains on the hunt for a heavyweight hopeful, similar concerns exist in the United Kingdom. It’s not exactly a golden era for the British heavyweight scene, perhaps even more depressing than the prospects of waiting for an American above 200 lb. to seize control of the division.

Where Tyson Fury believes he separates from the rest of the pack is two-fold; first is his continued success whereas his countrymen continue to flop. The other is his realization of imperfection, whereas heavyweights on both sides of the pond continue to insist that things aren’t as bad as they seem.

Fury would need to fight the other three to prove this. The Chisora fight shouldn't be regarded as del boy was fat and unmotivated.

It's easy to be self-proclaimed king of the UK, when you're on route to a title shot while being able to avoid Price, Haye and Chisora on your way. Cheap talk once again from Fury.

      He's good for a laugh.

However, I seriously doubt someone who was avoiding David Price would be willing to fight Haye. Fury is making the most of the moment which is the right thing to do, but he'll lose his 0 against his first really good opponent.

Going to look a right trumpet if Cunningham pulls the rug under him.

Did you just refer to David Price as a really good opponent?
I know you don't think Price could actually beat Fury, that's silly to think otherwise glass jaw Price isn't worth ducking Fury has already dropped him like a sack of spuds in the amateurs he'd do by far more damage if they got in together now.
Far as David Haye goes its about time he worked for a title shot instead of opening his big mouth what has he done since losing to Wladimir Klitschko?
          Absolute squat!!
Unimpressive record in the heavyweight division.

            What?

I clearly stated Price was crap. If you are ducking someone that bad then I don't think you're likely to fight someone with Haye's talent level.

Since losing to Wlad, Haye became the first man to drop and then stop Chisora. Far from 'absolute squat'...

Fury's resume is hardly stellar either.

Yes Derick Chisora haha hardly the smartest tactician of the boxing ring, he looked absolutely silly against Wladimir Klitschko he jumps from persona to persona suddenly he realises the bad ass gimmick doesn't work he tries to be the nice guy...
Ahhh I hate Haye and soon as he gets knocked out again the better, atleast Fury is honest he's a tool by nature and doesn't pretend to be something he's not.

It would be nice if Fury can keep the zero for a while and set-up the fight with Haye. It would be even better if one of them can pinch that title off Povetkin.

Smartest? Far from it. He did, however, beat Helenius and give Vitali his hardest fight in years coming into the Haye fight. He's a solid heavy with an iron chin, putting him down and out in 5 was impressive.

Fury and Haye both talk big game, but at least Haye is a 5 time, 2 weight world champion. He's also stepped in the ring with top opponents....Fury hasn't done anything yet.
