Floyd cannot be compared to any of these fighter because they found no excuses, and the word self-preservation doesn`t even exist to them. Floyd`s talent is great but he`s just a Larry Holmes and truth to be told Larry Holmes didn`t have much choice as far as fighting better guys. Floyd does fight the lesser fighters all the time.
SRL was huge compared to Floyd. Huge. Toney use to blowup to 200 pounds in between fights even at the lower weights. You act like Floyd hasnt done anything. He's been in 5 divisions. You love guys like Margarito & JLC who basically only fought in one and looked like crap when they had to go up and didnt have a size advantage anymore.

Again, Im not saying he couldnt do it. Im saying he was much more equipped to do it later on by they had loss by then. Floyd also looked much better at higher weights than nearly every guy you named

No point arguing with you if you really believe that. Better than SRL, Duran, Roy, Toney, Armstrong SMH

I wouldn`t mind. They are aggressive, undefeated, strong, punchers and in their prime.

Now imagine if Floyd didn`t retire when the 147 had Margarito, Cotto, PWIll and Pacman at the helm. Imagine he was in the division with Quartey, Tito, DLH, and Pernell. Floyd`s last test came at 135 against Castillo many years ago, since then he`s chosen the path of least resistence unfortunately. It`s just sad for such a talent not to get tested, but I guess self-preservation is more important, and that`s alright for him , but I as a fan wanna watch him test his craft against better guys than Guerrero and Ortiz, both Thurman and Mathyse will ice them out.
imagine that you know what you are talking about and stop acting like manny pacquiao was in the ww division before floyd fought hatton and imagine if bob arum actually wanted cotto to fight floyd mayweather and as far as the margarito situation most people know that there is a lot more to the story than floyd didn't want to fight margarito for 8 mill

If that was true he would have fought Margarito.

its really a myth that *****s like to overstate..sure he won em all but really not as impressive...the ones that claim this are the same ones who name floyd as one of th best inside fighters in the game which to me is just borderline reatarded and just plain nuthuggery to the highest level...

Dude, SRL has one good win above WW and that was a against a guy he admitted that he waited until he looked past it before he fought him and alot of people still dont even believe he won. There is no way he looked better above WW as Floyd has looked above SFW.

Again, Toney was always a huge guy but both him & Roy had alot of cupcakes on there resume in alot of people's mind. Toney looked bad and out of shapes in alot of fights.

Armstrong was in such a different era that there is not even a use of comparing. Now Duran was a freak, as Pac was (even though he's done some suspect stuff too) but Pac was a phsically strong dude and use to enter the ring at 145 pounds while fighting at 126-130.

Even Max Kelllerman has said the same thing. I mean, dude is P4P rated #1. Most of those guys you named werent by time they moved up or didnt stay on top.

Even still, again you act like Floyd has done nothing. He beat Cotto and Shane while they were still strong. Shane had just decapitated your boy Margarito the fight before Floyd destroyed him but that means nothing to you?

In SLR's career, he gained 28 pounds and won titles. He started at 147. That equates to just under 20% gain in mass. Same for Hearns. Duran started at 135 and won world titles up to 160 again 20% gain in mass. Roy "roids" Jones Jr gained 25% mass. etc etc... Floyd started at 130 and has won titles and remained undefeated up to 154... gaining 20% mass. He has remained P4P top 2 going up all those weights. He looks impressive at every weight. Why do you want him to fight over 154? Why can't he be said to look just as good as the other guys mentioned as he went up in weight? You think Toney looked better as he went up in weight???? What??? He just got fat, he slowed down. He had two losses in a row against Roy and Montel... then he fought some nobodies and lost to Montel again... he beat Mccallum and then lost to Thadzi... then he beats an old Holyfield and has done nothing worth mentioning since. Tell me, how has he looked more impressive moving up?

I laugh when people mention Paul Williams for Floyd at 147, when Paul got outboxed by Quintana exactly 2 months after Floyd beat Hatton. Then Paul jumps weight classes not too long after that...

The Punisher had problems with southpaws. Quintana was 1. Floyd is orthodox and smaller than Quintana. Terrible comparison.
