Solis's problem is lack of motivation and discipline. /endthread

I for one thought Solis performed pretty well in this fight. Larsen isn't a world-beater obviously, but he was undefeated and a member of the top 50 according to Boxrec. Solis had an argument to win every round except the 11th (obviously contributed to by the false ending). His defense was excellent, and he was throwing crisp and effective punches. Whomever was expecting an early stoppage (I know Eurosport's commentary team was) was expecting a bit much of Solis given Larsen's record and the fact that Solis has never scored an early stoppage against that level of opposition.

Yes, Solis could stand to lose a few pounds, but he was 5 pounds lighter in this fight than he was for his career-best performance against Ray Austin, so this is not a situation where he's fallen off the wagon or something. This is who he is, and so far he's only failed at the level you'd have probably expected him to fail at under the best of circumstances. By my lights, he's still a very promising contender who could make some noise in the post-Klitschko era.

Inactivity is not an issue it's his weight and dedication to training/diet.

99.999999 percent of us aren't pro fighters. not fighting regularly has absolutely nothing to do with eating clean and taking care of yourself.

i do not care in the least about odlanier solis. he's a fat waste of talent. dude is literally fat.
