Castillo would stop any version of Gatti. Prime Gatti would last in to the later rounds in a war. Gatti right now would be beaten inside of 6 rounds.

Castillo would deal Gatti a beating. Gatti was blood and guts but nothing else, castillo woulda been too skilled for him.

What people don't talk about is how Gatti was fighting the best he ever fought in the 4 or so bouts leading up to Floyd. Unless he comes out and looks bad on the 28th, the people calling him shot are merely guessing as far as I'm concerned

You are right, but that version of Gatti would not have a chance against Castillo. Gatti would have to go back to his warrior ways to have a chance of beating Castillo. If Gatti were to box, Castillo would cut the ring on him and have him on the defensive all night long.

This fight would be a joke, Gatti would go out much much worse than Corrales in the last of his series with Castillo. Whoever said that Gatti is bigger than Castillo is dead wrong. Gatti won his first title at 126 and Castillo has struggled his entire career to stay at 135. The size advantage he has there has served him well, but I think that he would be even more rugged and strong on the inside a division or two up. Gatti can't take a lick around welter, at lightweight he goes down, but makes it up (at least a few years back), at welter Gatti has a habit of staying down.

gatti still is very competitive.. a prime gatti could have beaten castillo.. it would be a toss up.. and i would favor castillo by a small margin.. it is very possible that it would be stopped on cuts.

honestly, to the people on the forums sayin gatti is shot, i completely disagree. he always comes back from a loss.. thats what good fighters do.. if he loses on jan 28 my opinions will change. my pridiction for the jan 28th fight is an early KO by gatti..

How were his last 4 fights leading up to Mayweather his toughest fights? A largely unproven Dorin (unproven as a pro, great amateur) and then Micky Ward who may be tough, but c'mon he is no Castillo and definitely no Mayweather, hell, he isn't even Sharmba Mitchell. So how is this? Maybe they were good fights. Fun fights, but I would hardly say that they were Gatti's best competition, review his record, would you?
