Arum states that the NSAC fined Chavez Jr. excessively because he is Mexican. Pretty much says that the NSAC is racist. I agree with the excessive fine, but I dunno about the whole mexican thing. They fined 30% of his purse, which of course is going to be a bigger amount because of the purse Jr. has for the Martinez fight when compared to someone like Nick Diaz.

There's no doubt that Jr getting a 900k fine for some weed, and Mickey Bey getting a slap on the wrists for testosterone doping soon after looks really, really dumb.

But Arum's presentation of events is blatantly dishonest and misleading. Chavez Jr has a history in this respect and second offences have to carry a heavy penalty. What he should be complaining about is how inconsistent and contradictory the anti-doping measures are, but ultimately he doesn't give a shit about that.
