Fair point. I'd be happy enough if they used the guys they have at 140/147 to give us great fights though. PPVs matter in the business sense but they're of no benefit to us.

I think GBP have a great opportunity to make a big statement in the next 18 months. They can make a lot of fights people want to see and they have the opportunity to build them whatever way they want on showtime. Let's hope they take it.

It's going to be far easier to turn canelo into the next PPV star if he beats austin trout. He's likeable, young, interesting backround, and mexican.

Broner only has young in common. And dont compare broner to floyd as the "bad guy" please. He's nothing like floyd and definitly doesnt have that villian aura like floyd

GBP had most of the HBO dates that one year and they put on some really craptastic cards. I don't think GBP will suffer but maybe Showtime will

GBP is not dying, but they do need a Rios/ Alvarado, Bradley/Provodnikov type war and that could happen with Peterson/Matthysse

I think when it's all said and done Gbp is gonna end up running back to hbo. They were making big ppv sales and doing good ratings with them but frankly they got greedy and wanted to control the boxing game. They proved that by bringing Espinoza to showtime who had ties with them in the past. And the way they were doing business with hbo wasent gonna fly. U take all the stars away from them that they made big and all the other **** they were pulling. Boxing is by no means dead but it's is kept alive by a selective market which is hbo and they have the deepest wallets so why piss me them off? Gboy moved canelo cotto and mayweather to showtime wouldn't u be pissed to if u help make this guys rich and they moved to a secound rate network.

I think Schafer was talking Mosley vs Malignaggi not getting any support from HBO or Showtime there was no Money for that fight

I think Golden Boy and Top Rank will both be around for a very long time. Golden Boy has the most good fighters and they have Showtime so they will be fine. HBO cutting them off hurt them but HBO hurt themselves as well.
