David Lemieux was to fight Matthew Macklin on June 1st.

I had to get a french converter, but from what I gathered is his trainer talked lemieux out of it because he is already preparing Antonin Decarie for a fight against Abregu for April 27th and also Training Pascal for the Bute fight for May 25th.

He advised for a fight of that Magnitude for Lemieux they would need more hands on preparation. Instead it looks like they are going to have a TBA stiff for lemieux for the June 8th undercard of Stevenson vs Dawson.
They are setting up a fall fight between Macklin and Lemieux for this coming Fall.

Good that he pulled out. Macklin would've ruined him. Late TKO.

Would've been a good fight while it lasts though.

Well Lemieux is very dangerous early in a fight, but he runs out of gas. If they can get that corrected, it will make the Macklin fight more competitive IMO

Yup, I agree, the way he layed out Alvaro Gaona was scary!
