Berto look a little flabby in the arms

I wonder who they are going to put Berto in with next, Gary Coleman!

Well, it was a shot to the neck that Garcia took him out with.

          too late.

still, berto has fast hands, power, and a big set of stones. he's been in some great fights. collazo, ortiz, and guerrero were great fights. it's a better division with fighters like him around.

and besides, who is going to keep the gate to the promised land - IE a fight with floyd mayweather jr?

They are getting some good sparring up there. It's good to see the Bay Area becoming a bit of a boxing hotbed.

I don't know if Berto can change his style successfully at this point but if anyone can help him it's Virgil Hunter.

Getting Khan to spar Berto is a bad idea

Berto's eyes will be the size of basketballs and will probaly get cut up.

At 29 years old, Berto is who he is. I don't think Virgil Hunter can do anything with him at this stage. The 1st time he gets caught with a big shot, he will resort to his old ways. This is a move he should have made years ago. Berto has all the raw talent in the world, but he was not taught defense in his younger days. I think he should seek out Teddy Atlas to teach him that peek a boo Tyson style. His body and height is built for that style, plus he has power in both hands like Tyson did. Berto will always beat C class fighters. But he will lose to the elite and struggle with B class fighters.

Teddy Atlas would have been interesting. Maybe he could have considered Kevin Rooney too.

I'd love to see the Cus D'Amato disciples working with young American talent.
