Ishida has never been stopped in his 8 losses, what a way to retire, flying out of the ring sleeping.
I remember the Paul Williams fight where he took punch after punch, wide open defense..that spells trouble against Golovkin who I have as the winner within 5 rds

I don't like when fighters declare that they will retire if they lose a particular fight. Main reason: because they never actually do, and it is just a dumb statement.

this is basically a pointless fight. Better guys from 154 and at 160 want to fight Golovkin but we get this.

this is just a sparring session and a no win situation for GGG. if he get a KO on Ishida than that's what everybody expects and if Ishida goes the distance then GGG will look bad. maybe he has malaria this time or something, who knows what will be said.

Like who, Brian Vera? And whoever it is, would they do it off US TV? I mean this is in between 2 HBO dates, and who's spoken up about wanting either of those premium dates?

Damn, so Ishida's going to continue beasting people after this fight. I was hoping he was gonna go out on a high note.

What's wrong with Brian Vera? He just had a great performance against Dzinziruk and I think he'd give Golovkin a damn good fight.

Come on, Brian Vera? He's a tough and willing guy, but so is Ishida (but less face first). HBO vetoed him for January, but if there's nothing and they're willing, ok. I like Brian and hope his relatives stay away from ringside if that fight get made, I think It'll be disgusting. Both Ishida and Rosado do defense much better than Vera.

Vera will come to **** and win or lose will make for an entertaining fight. Ishida not so much.

This is a stay busy fight for Gennady who didn't have a HBO date available so soon for him after Rosado. We'll see him on HBO at least once more this year. If the JCCjr rematch can't be made for some reason like drug testing then I would think HBO would push hard for Sergio to fight GGG. This revenge on Britain for the Falklands routine has to stop. It's getting old and Sergio isn't getting any younger.

Ishida doesn't even deserve this shot. The only reason this is going down is because GGG can't get no one to fight him. Ishida knows he can't win - he's 2-3 his last 5 fights (in 1 fight, the dude he faced was making his debut) & hasn't fought in 10 months. GGG puts this mofo out to pasture.......
