Looks like Thompson will be fighting another contender before too long, but I wonder who it will be?

I'd like to see him test another one of the up-and-coming heavyweights like Fury, Helenius, Pulev, or Wilder.

Who do you consider top heavyweights? Fury's best opponents were Chisora, Johnson, Rogan, McDerrmott, Firtha, and Pajkic, but is that list of opponents more impressive than the lists below?

Haye has fought Chisora, Wlad, Valuev, Ruiz, and Barrett.
Povetkin has fought Chambers, Chagaev, Huck, Byrd, and Firtha.
Admaek has fought Vitali, Chambers, Arreola, Walker, and Cunnigham.
Pulev has fought Dimitrenko, Ustinov, Walker, Sprott, Rossy, and Skelton.

Can't really blame Thompson for talking big, too bad it's all off one impressive performance. Not difficult to remember him only beating 2nd and 3rd tier fighters on small boxing cards. And we may see Price get thwacked in his next few outtings, proving he wasn't so good afterall, and proving Thompson isn't so great. Or the opposite may happen. Lotta questions to be answered. The next year or two will be an interesting time for HW boxing fans while all these contenders and pretenders get sorted out.

Fury can be hit but he's certainly improving. I would love to see Fury fighting Odlanier Solis but still a Thompson fight would be a great fight.

Thompson wouldn't be a bad fight for Fury. If Fury can do a number on him, it will once again spotlight the difference in quality between Fury and Price.
