Danny Garcia insists Amir Khan must face one of the top light-welterweights if he wants to prove he has learned from defeat.

Garcia's shock knockout win over Khan last summer prompted the Bolton man to team up with new trainer Virgil Hunter and he will continue the rebuilding process with a fight against Julio Diaz on April 27.

Diaz is a former world champion at lightweight, but Garcia believes the 33-year-old is past his best and does not expect him to supply a stern test for Khan.

"It's a fight that he's supposed to win," the American told Ringside Toe 2 Toe podcast.

Danny Garcia is an average fighter with a world class left hook and a decent chin. That's about it. Slow hands, slow feet not a great aggressor and not a great counter puncher. He will be comprehensively out boxed soon enough.

I agree. Hes a solid fighter. But, I dont see him being undefeated for long. Assuming he steps up again in competition.

Danny is nothing special, limited skills, heavy hands a good chin. Go back and watch the Khan fight, he was getting beaten up until he landed that hook with his head down and eyes closed. Danny just throws all his weight into his punches so thats why he being effective. I called it here, rematch with Khan, Khan beats him up and stops him late. Ill admit on here I'm wrong if Danny wins.
