Is it not possible for Showtime and Golden Boy to grow?

It seems that the sentiment is that they will not have a large enough budget to pay the fighters, but can't they actually grow into a larger company? It was a gamble to slowly move a lot of their fighters to Showtime, and it could still pay off.

It will definitely grow as long as golden boy continues to have a lot of good fighters and puts on good fights. Only time will tell.

When all boxing is on showtime, I'll have no use for hbo anymore. Showtime will be just fine.

Where will the money come from? It just isnt there...it might be in time, but do you expect an ever growing stable of star boxers to wait for them to grow the company and its mainstream appeal when there is going to be better offers in the interim? It wont happen, the cake is the cake and the more you slice it the smaller it gets. There is also the chance that this might not be as profitable as people think, causing showtime to re-evaluate there position.

It may look good for a year or two, but it will unravel eventually. I'm almost certain of that.

It's the mainstream $$$ that count. Boxing's not going to save Showtime.

HBO will always be a bigger monkey maker than Showtime, regardless of how many good fighters GBP have.

Why do you think Broner still wants to be "Mr. HBO"?
