from a tweet i read on another forum when googling about this someone from C5 said that atm Fury USS will not be shown, however they arent ruling out broadcasting it depending on what deal they are offered. Apparently there has been a change in management at the station.

I think they are bending fat Mick over to see if he'll drastically cut his price. But from the sounds of it they wont be showing anymore fights. It'll probably depend on whether Mick can land another tv deal or if he's forced to put the shows on for peanuts. They used channel 5 to promote Primetime ppvs, and Primetime dont exactly have many (any) potential fights lined up, and wont for quite some time. (a Pac return IF they get the rights to it or a Fury HW title fight)

ah ok, I wonder what Mick will do? Having this C5 deal is his biggest selling point, I'd be surprised if he let it slip, but then if he isnt getting enough to put on shows from the network then what can he do? I doubt he'd make it onto sky, Hearn has already said there arent enough dates to take care of his own fighters so i doubt they'd take on another promoter aswell (although i wouldnt mind it happening). Boxnation is the only other viable alternative but that goes against why Hennessys fighters signed with him in the first place (exposure), add to that Warren is probably in a militant mood at the minute and might not want to be helping out another promoter.

I reckon Mick might fold you know... take less money and try keep his fighters on the basis that no other promoter can offer them terrestrial tv viewing figures.

One thing i do know is C5 are getting a lot of tweets from fans disappointing about the news and have had to put out a few disclaimers already, so maybe they could u-turn?

        Interesting times.

well there is basically no chance of De Gale going back to Warren or boxnation, Im sure Warren would take Eubank jnr, Fury and the Kid but i dunno if he'd work with Mick or not (I dunno if there has every been any bitterness between them but he showed Price while he was still a Maloney fighter so its possible) A lot might depend on what the contracts between Mick and his fighters are like and what the get out clauses for the fighters are. I know Eubank snr was very vocal about his son fighting on terrestrial tv so the contract might have that in it.

Hopefully channel 5 stick with boxing but force Mick to put on better fights

What a shame the more channels that show boxing the better.
Also I enjoy listening to Al Haymon. 90% he says is good but the other 10% is baffling but he still entertains

*Bernstein but yeah i agree, he's my favourite US pundit outside of actual boxers they get in (Jones Jr, Ward etc).

Channel Five confirm they are in talks to show Tyson Fury-Steve Cunningham and have not dropped #boxing from their schedules.
