Hopefully this ****** HBO/GBP thing won't last very long. It wouldn't be smart for Golden Boy fighters to talk **** about HBO, when the day comes that this ****** **** is forgotten they might have their comments held against them.Comment

I guess Broner has fought on HBO many times. But HBO says no more Broner so he is no longer mister HBO unless he leaves Golden Boy. He can't have it both ways. I'm sure he will copy Floyd and stay with Golden Boy and Showtime. They will keep him safe from Matthysse.Comment

He said it again, I'm not sure what to make of this:
"Later Monday came the news that HBO, which had been regularly featuring Broner's fights and heavily marketing him, had severed ties with his promoter, Golden Boy, which now does most of its business with rival Showtime.
HBO's move leaves Broner without a television home and probably headed for Showtime, even though he still refers to himself as "Mr. HBO."
"I heard about it," Broner said of HBO's announcement that it would stop buying fights from Golden Boy. "But Adrien Broner is still Mr. HBO. I'm still Mr. HBO, mark my words. I am Mr. HBO and I always will be Mr. HBO."
I wonder if he has the balls to stand up to Al Haymon and dump GBP in a couple of weeks when his contract is up. I certainly hope he does, but I doubt it... Which makes me wonder why the hell does he keep saying this? The suits over at Sho have got to be fuming about his insistence to keep calling himself Mr HBO. Did the suits at HBO know that he'd be averse to going to Sho? This is going to get good.Last edited by MikeRo1972; 03-20-2013, 09:02 AM.Comment
