As the case drags on against three men accused of being involved in the fatal shooting of former heavyweight titleholder Corrie Sanders, authorities say a fourth suspect has been found.
That fourth man is in Zimbabwe, where “has been sentenced to at least 30 years’ imprisonment … for shooting a police officer,” according to South African newspaper The Post.
A prosecutor said he thinks the man knows where the gun that killed Sanders is located, and he is trying to get the man extradited to South Africa, the newspaper reported.
Sanders was shot and killed in September 2012 after robbers came inside a restaurant where the 46-year-old was celebrating a relative’s birthday, according to reports at the time.
