While looking at Marciano's 'undefeated' record, it got me thinking

How many modern era(Tyson -K2) resumes could have given Rocky 1 or more losses?
I realized that there might had been at least 10 fighters from 1987-Current with resumes that could have given Rocky multiple losses.

Holyfield fought Lewis twice: That's 2 fights Rocky would have gotten knocked out in.
He fought Bowe 3 times; Three more KO'S .
He fought Tyson twice: Even that version would have knocked out Marciano etc.

    Lewis fought:
Vitali; Another KO Loss for Rocky
Holyfield 2x: Probably 2 more losses etc...

I mean even David Tua's resume would have given Rocky a loss or 2.

I think even James Toney's resume could have given Rocky at least 1 loss.

    Sam Peter 2X
    Shot Holyfield
    Jirov
    Roy Jones Jr.

it will not be shocking at all to see Marciano drop one of those four fights.

Dude you are a fool, stop disrespecting people that have laced up their gloves and competed in the sport of boxing.

Past fighters cannot be compared to present fighters because their reality was different. It's like comparing baseball stats of now to back in the dead ball era, sport competitions should be measured within their own era since humans evolve and many changes happen to the environment of competition.

Holyfield was not even born when Marciano was knocking people out. If people consider the man a great fighter, is because he most likely was one or else he wouldn't even be remembered.

Rocky Marciano is only 5'11' and never weighed more then 85kg for his fights. He was a small cruiserweight at best. He loses to most modern heavyweights.

you have to realize fighter back then were a completely different breed. most were born dirt poor and found boxing to be their only way out, couple that with mafia connections and a less educated commission, it brings enormous pressure to the fighter. for the record, no one beats marciano in a 30 plus round fight

lol most undefeated people just haven't fought the person who would give them a loss, and there's nothing wrong with that.

I beg to differ. You dont think any of the K brother could just pawn him with a jab for 30 rounds. Hes was only 5'10 and his heaviest weight was 189lb, like i said. A small cruiser. He would get stopped.

Calzaghe, Mayweather, Ottke etc. Being undefeated isnt worth much if you dont fight anyone.

Mentioning Mayweather with Calzaghe, let alone Ottke is just wrong in all levels. Three different undefeated fighters.

Calzaghe is more proven than Ottke, Mayweather is more proven than Calzaghe.

                  Mayweather>.........................................>Calzaghe.......................................... .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .........................................A million dots later >Ottke.

i was a big sven fan lol but mayweather and calzaghe are loads above him. mayweather is actually much higher than calzaghe.

mayweather marciano only have the 0s worth mentioning, considering how dominant they were/are
