is GGG the big bad beast no one really wants to....

...acknowledge right now because that will give him more credit for a potential fight?

i mean, i feel like no one (boxers) want to bring up his name because the last thing they want is a fight with him. they see hes really good, and they dont see much holes in his game, so they just avoid talking about him.

thats what it seems like to me anyway, i could be wrong. but now hes saying he wants to fight mayweather. i DOUBT may is saying the same thing.

Maybe at this exact moment in time, but give it a year and people will be hunting for him to take that reputation.

Boxing is a status driven sport, right now Golovkin doesn't have much so nobody will want to fight him who is above nor do the guys below really care about beating him but as time passes his status will elevate (as long as he keeps winning at least decent fights) as his status goes up people will start looking to fight him. Those below to gain status and he may get a shot at someone above because it may become worth it.

Then Golovkin will be the one ducking guys~ and someone else will become the "most feared" guy who no one wants to utter their name.
