yah i'm wondering this too...and if they scored the 2nd round a 10-8 round.
if you give ruslan 5 rounds with 3 of them being 10-8 rounds then he wins by 1 point.Last edited by Bermuda; 03-18-2013, 10:01 AM.Comment

On paper, yes. But if Bradley knew he was down a point he probably wouldn't have taken as many chances, especially in the 12th round.
So who knows what would have happened if Ruslan was awarded a knockdown?Comment

There were knockdowns in rounds 1, 6, and 12; only one was called. Rounds 1 and 6 should have been 10-8 rounds. W/o any 10-8 rounds the fight is 114-113 Bradley.Comment

bradley didnt know where he was most of the night let alone know if he down 1 pt. he knew it was a tough fight and he was fighting for his life, at no point in the middle of the fight was he like i think i'm down one round.come onComment

He was aware enough to adjust and outbox the guy for 7 out of the next 8 rounds.Comment

it's a 10 point must system not a 10-9 must system. i don't see why a round where one guy barely wins it with little contact is the same as a round where one guy beats another to a pulp and basically unconscious on his feet. harold lederman from the vargas-omatoso fight agrees with me but then again the harold lederman from the bradly-ruslan fight disagrees.Comment

Agree 100%Bradley won the majority of the fight as far as the rounds/minutes he won.
But, the rounds that Ruslan won, less than 6, he had done more damage than Bradley did over the course of the fight.
I always hear people say "who I would rather be in that round/fight." well to me Ruslan did more damage, but it was NOT for the majority of rounds.
To me that's one of the downfalls of the scoring system. You can beat the hell out of a guy for five rounds, and get barely outboxed in the remaining seven rounds (assuming no 10-8 rounds), and lose the fight, even though it may appear that clearly, you did the more overall damage. (That's not my analysis of this fight, just making an example.)Last edited by Russian Crushin; 03-18-2013, 11:22 AM.Comment
