MMA is entertaining when they have exchanges which is probably like 15% of the time , then they hug each other and fall on the floor and start wrestling in tight shorts and that's when I change the channel to Sabado Gigante.

It's all match ups. MMA has some great wars in the stand up and on the ground. Hideo Tokoro vs Abel Cullum is an absolutely amazing ground battle. Rarely talked about but really high level grappling being displayed.

For stand up wars? How about like 80% of Eddie Alvarez' fights.

Also, the fight tonight wasn't even 10% of Rios vs Alvarado.

That's the main reason why I made this thread. It's not that MMA isn't tough or a sport I respect..I do. It's just that boxing's limitations are what make it so exciting. The fact that you can only hit with the fists, is why these fights are amazing.

Exciting MMA died with pride. I'm sorry but scoring a take down for points is lame and boring, you get more points for a take down then an actual knockdown in the UFC.

Now it's just a money grab. All hype not much substance.

You can't win with these clowns.

                    that part is the truth.

he is overrated. he's not a p4p fighter.

he's also ballsy as anybody in the sport and a true warrior. we saw his limitations against provodnikov. i want to see them rematch that fight.

bradley was held up by the ropes more than once, and he was certainly down in the first. i don't care if they call it a slip when he went down initially int he first, when you get back up and fall down again because your world is rocked then it is a knockdown.

MMA, though a interesting sport; does not have the structure and hype behind it any longer.
Boxing on the other hand has never changed when it comes to the brutality and the willingness to allow two warriors fight. There where times I myself who doesn't like early stoppages, felt Bradley might need one.

If this fight occurred in MMA/UFC, it would have resulted in a stoppage or ended on the ground within the first time one of them got hurt.

Simplicity of boxing is what makes it so Brutal, Exciting, and Addictive.
