Theoretically, if Ward could make 160 without killing himself, and assuming he'd be effective at that weight, then I'd pick Ward for sure. Floyd is not even a big welterweight and isn't nearly at his best fighting at 154. 160 is just too big for him.

That said, Ward would be a fool to try and make 160. His fight with Dawson should be proof enough.

Theres absolutely no reason this fight cant be made other than Floyd is chicken. Ward is a grown man and can make his own decisions that he can go down. He did it to Dawson so Ward is a gentleman for returning the favour to Floyd of all people.

Its true like someone said, Floyd wouldnt even dare fight Pac at 147 so how is he ever going to dare fight Ward? He wont. But cos we know Floyd wont he shouldnt talk so much cos he will be called out on it.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. If you're going to call people that fight for a living a "coward" or "chicken" then you best be ready to post your highlight reel of fights. If you can't then you really don't have any place.

Someone might've said that Mayweather wouldn't dare fight Pacquiao at 147lbs but that is BS. Unless you were under a rock, the fight never happened because they couldn't agree terms. Telling falsehoods for effect is something children do.

I'll ask you. How is it that Pacquiao won't fight someone at 154lbs, someone he already beat? Even though he can enter the ring at 150lbs (as he did in his last fight), and why? Because he said he didn't want to, and that's totally cool by you. But Mayweather, who has never rehydrated higher than 152lbs, is a "coward" for not only not fighting at 160lbs, but fighting a super-middleweight there?

I don't expect you to see the stupdity in your twisted logic as it's not new, but I live in hope of a decent answer.

Andre Ward surely could never make that weight. But if he could he would beat Mayweather.

Mayweather decisions a weight drained Ward.

Yep, no chance, because there's no such thing as a fighter being weight drained.

Even a drained Ward is still more skilled than anybody Floyd has been in the ring with. A prime athletic and intelligent fighter who knows how to get rough and impose his strength on his opponents. And he would rehydrate to high 170s possibly low 180s. Also young fighters can move down in weight easier than 30+ yr old fighters, are you absolutely sure that Ward would be a zombie in the ring? Because if he's even at 50% he still beats Floyd.

I have seen too many fighters fall victim to weight drain issues to be ignorant about it now. Ward hasn't made 160 in like 8 years, Floyd will simply go up a few pounds, no biggie. Eat all he wants, train hard. While Ward will only be training to lose weight, with minimal training for the actual boxing match.

About Ward going to 180 on fight night, that will not matter, it never matters for a weight drained fighter. You can gain all the pounds you want in one day, it will not make up for the weeks/months of abuse that you put your body through by starving it.

Again, are you sure Ward would be a walking corpse on fight night? If he's anything more than that, he beats Floyd.

And Floyd has lost a step, got his nose busted and lost several rounds in a row against Cotto. This ain't prime Floyd.
