yeah this ****s me off too, the hypocracy of some peoples arguments when it involves a spoon fed big name, Ward didn't have to fight against Kessler in Denmark, then they now say he's the champ and shouldn't have to ever leave oakland, same with broner at 130lbs, scheduled to fight the champ Burns aslong as its in the USA, now same ****, Broners the champ blah blah blah everyone should go to him. I hope this fight does happen in NY, I'm not particularly a fan of Malignaggi, but its his title they're fighting for, he had to earn it in Europe so **** Broner and lets have a bit of equality.
For the record I think selecting Malignaggi was also a ***** move, they've gone for a small welterweight, the worst champion at either 140 or 147, who is clearly in decline so they can pick up a meaningless title. If he wanted to go up in weight theres plenty of badasses at 140 and 147, but too risky to his management I guess. I might actually start believing the hype when he starts fighting legit opponents that are the same weight.
