    Cotto wasn't...

Just curious how it will factor in to this match or if it will matter at all.

This will be a big factor in the fight. Canelo has been able to get to the body against everuone hes fought because he was always the bigger guy. Trout is a big jmw himself and is a very good defensive fighter that knows how to position his body.

This is why i favor trout. I feel that he will nullify canelos body attacks and box him on the outside. However i have feeling trout is going to get robbed.

Trout seems smart enough to expect hard body work from Canelo. I think he'll adjust his guard for this fight and he won't want to stand and trade. I reckon Canelo will eventually connect with his quick up-down-up combo's.

i don't think there will be a sustained body attack because of trout's movement..but for sure he should be able to get in a body attack or two here and there, but will it hurt trout? probably not considering he took hard left hooks to the body against cotto and never looked hurt

i think canelo's power is overrated tbh. mosley even said that canelo hits about as hard as a ww floyd.

I think he will get some hard body shots in that will help him win the fight. Regardless of what Mosley said Canelo hits harder than Mayweather by a good amount. Trout is a very good fighter and the best Canelo has ever faced. Trout might be to good for him but my money is on Canelo to stop Trout within 12 rounds with good combinations to both body and head.

It's got to be the Canelo game plan, Trout's legs are a great asset and Alvarez needs to take them out of the equation.

people forget trout has some good straight body punches as well.

i don't like trout in this fight simply for gut reasons i might change my mind later but i think trout will be canelo's hardest fight ever. but i think canelo will pull it out while not looking good doing it.

I haven't watched the Trout vs Cotto fight recently but what I did take from it was that Trout is not some defensive genius. He has good defense and a lot of movement. Cotto was able to land solid shots. The problem I saw was that Trout was simply outworking Cotto with activity, and taking advantage of his size difference, hence the lopsided scorecards. Canelo is a bigger, fresher version of Cotto, a true 154 pounder and will be able to land shots on Trout. Same goes for Canelo. He'll be fighting a big, in his prime 154 pounder.
