To me what is funny is that Canelo has been on the world stage far longer than Trout, but I know less of what his capabilities are.

I am fairly certain I know all about Trout's strengths and weaknesses. Canelo though, do to most of his opponents being smaller, never offered him much back. To me he is either an Exceptional Offensive fighter or vastly over-rated.

We will find out come fight time. I am hoping Canelo is the real deal. We need new stars and he has captured more public awareness than most, which is needed to actually make a star. I got nothing against Trout, and he may turn out to be the better fighter, but he does not seem to have the style or star potential to fill seats. That is what this sport needs.

I think this is the matchup of the year so far on paper. Between the fact that they're both champs, undefeated, the best at their weight.

I'm really glad this fight got made. These types of fights should always be getting made though, it shouldn't be something we are thankful for.

What I do like about Trout though is he seems willing to fight anywhere. He has fought in Canada, Mexico (multiple times), Panama etc

To me that builds character and I have nothing but huge respect for guys willing to do that.

I think Canelo shows more tools to win, he works the body and throws good solid combos. Trout looked good against Cotto but I think Canelo has more weapons in his arsenal than Trout
all is left to be seen, cant wait

If canelo loses however its not a bad loss its a loss to a fellow undefeated title holder
same goes for trout if he losses he aint no bum or cab driver he lost to a younger natual JMW title holder

I think this is going to be a good, entertaining, back and forth fight. Canelo should win because he's the bigger puncher but it won't be easy. Trout is solid boxer who proved he can hang with the best. I think he fought a better version of Cotto than the version of Mosely Canelo faced. Razor thin SD for Canelo is the way I see it.

Trout has no punch and doesn't throw combination. He paws with the right and tries to shoot the straight left, but that's it.

He has good footwork and movement and also ties up his opponents well.

But when he squares off with Canelo, he's going to get hit and hit hard. He just won't be able to keep Canelo off of him.

Why would square off? And he won't be able to keep Canelo off of him? Did you forget Canelo fights in spurts and has ****ty stamina? Oh and btw that was vs smaller guys.
