Muhammad Ali was a minister and a fighter at the same time. So I wonder what Floyd has to say about that. Also Price was right about the Broner situation. what better way to put Ward in the headlines. at the end of the day you have to give credit to Mayweather because the media is like a fly to **** when he talks.

This is ******ed. Boxing doesn't need to become a soap opera like the WWE. I never understood why grown men talk **** about each other through media. It's the most ignorant thing I've ever seen. Ward's manager needs to focus on making his fighter more popular, and Floyd needs to shut the **** up and start training for his fight. He never has anything productive to say.

Completely false, if Floyd couldn't draw, why isn't Ward headlining PPV's the way Floyd did against Judah, Gatti and Baldomir, Floyd managed to do over 300K+ against all of them.

Yes, Mayweather might have done over 300,000 for those fights, but I have saaaad news for you. I personally saw quite a few of his fights, before he became "popular" (after de La Hoya) and I distinctly recall that his Baldomir fight in a small arena holding about 4,000 it was only about a third full. And people were WALKING OUT before it was half way through. The camera showed the gouse and followed those walking out, including some prominent people.....

I'm sure that there are others on this site who recall Larry Merchant, at this fight, pointing to them, and saying that he didn't know any other top, unbeaten fighter where the house is less than half full, with people walking out in the middle. He said a few other things as well.

That was the second of his fights where people walked out, I can't remember the first.

Broner just has a casual fan friendly style (offensive, looks for a knockout), that's why I think he will continue to be successful.

Ward maybe a good/great fighter, but he will end up like Hopkins. Just not appealing to the casuals; that's just the way it is.

Ward won't even end up on Hopkins level unless he goes up to heavy-wt cause Hopkins had superstar opponents but Ward doesn't have any. Martinez is the biggest fight out there for Ward right now unless he moves up to heavy-wt.

Mayweather was not a draw @ all until after the De la hoya fight. In fact De la hoya really made Mayweather and Pacquiao who they are.
