Nothing interesting about the fight other than the usual cliche filler along the lines of "may the best man win". He sounded pissed off at his manager Garry Hyde though. When they asked him about Garry Hyde not wanting him to switch to Luis Diaz, Rigo with an angry tone said,
"Garry, he's in the UK, in London or somewhere. He's my manager, yes, of course. He speaks English and I speak Spanish. We don't understand each other. He's not here and he should be here and not be talking so much. And what he has to do is come over here to check him out to see how the training camp is going. And that's it, nothing more. Let him come here which is what he should be doing and stop talking so much.Last edited by DoktorSleepless; 03-13-2013, 07:48 PM.Comment

Very "matter of fact" in the way he says things. Very confident and relaxed when he speaks about the fight. Almost like a "just another day at the office" kinda vibe.Comment

This is a summary but pretty much everything is covered:
Interviewer: What has happened with the drug testing? Has it been VADA or USDA doing the testing?
Rigo: Well they have randomly checked me twice already. I have no problem with that. Hope he is doing the same. We asked for both but so far only VADA has come to test.
Interviewer: Nonito says that you don’t have the pro experience only amateur.
Rigo: If he thinks he has more experience let him show it on April 13th
Interviewer: Many people see Donaire as a top 5 p4p what do you think?
Rigo: He has not fought anybody of a top level.
Interviewer: Any predictions on the fight.
Rigo: Im getting ready for 12, 24, 40 rounds anything can happen but I will not be the one losing
Interviewer: Anything new on your gameplan for this fight.
Rigo: I have an experienced trainer and he knows what I need
Interviewer: If you win will you go up to 126 and face the likes of Mares
Rigo: 122 is my division and I will stay here I feel comfortable here. We don’t know was going to happen but 122 is my weight.
