It will be a highly anticipated fight and the match up that should be made. Canelo doesn't have the sustained string of victories against top opponent to comapre it to Pac/Floyd when it was revelant

True. And it's crazy how one fight would make it that way. Like people are not convinced of Canelo now, and it takes just one little fight to change that.

It would be bigger than May-Pac though, because there's so much more Mexican fans than Fillipino fans and they always hype their men up to the max. If Canelo beats Trout, he'll get massive hype to the max. He's bigger than Floyd, younger, taller, will be coming off beating the better opponent on paper, will be Ring champion at 154, having defended his WBC title against a legit 154 top 3 fighter. Floyd will get all kinds of sh-t if he does not fight Canelo in September, which he probably won't. Floyd will probably fight Alexander or some other cheap opponent and he/GBP will let Canelo have his first PPV against Cotto. Then if Canelo beats Cotto, which would do some where around 500-700k PPV buys, Mayweather-Canelo will happen in May 2014.
