Welterweight Aron Martinez will return to the ring on April 27th, more than likely against Alberto Herrera, Thompson Boxing Promotions matchmaker Alex Camponovo told Boxingscene.com earlier this week.
The bout will take place at the Doubletree Hotel in Ontario, CA and will headline a Thompson Boxing card.
Martinez (18-2, 4 KOs), from East Los Angeles, CA, is coming off a 10 round unanimous decision loss Jessie Vargas in his last fight on September 13th. The loss snapped a 10-bout winning streak that lasted since a six round majority decision loss to Abdon Lozano in November of 2008.
