But that bout was his first pro loss, a defeat that saw the 30-year-old heavyweight knocked down multiple times and stopped in less than two rounds by Johnathon Banks on HBO.
Mitchell was supposed to return last month on the undercard to Adrien Broner’s win over Gavin Rees.
