How old is Eddie Hearns?

I think he is really young guy like 34 or something. His dad Barry Hearn is a well known promoter there.

Yeah i read that he pretty much passed the torch to eddie. His dad is 60 something so 34 sounds about right.

yep matchroom is involved in a lot of sports; including darts and snooker, barry hearn also owns leyton orient football club.

So its not like eddie hearn has built up everything from scratch but he is doing well.

He ispretty young and doing a great job. As the guy above me said. He has had a huge head start given the fact his dad is wealthy as hell and promotes loads of other sports in the UK. Also has great connections with Sky (Mainly due to darts) which gives matchroom a massive leverage when looking to get fighters signed.

He does need to build these fighters up, it's all well and good having this stable of big names but if he cannot get the big fights and make competative fights on sky then he could be in trouble

True, he is snapping up the best fighters...keeping them happy is going to be the real challenge. If he can, all well and good because at least then we havent got to see too much of Frank Warrens uncooked sausage looking face.

His dad pretty much built a huge sports empire and is slowly allowing his family to take portions of it over.

I think Eddie is great for boxing. Young and willing to match his fighters against decent to great opposition. He's also not willing to overflow his group like Warren has.
