Comments Thread For: Selby Makes Matchroom Debut on 4/20, then Rees Double

Matchroom have unveiled their latest signing in the shape of British and Commonwealth featherweight champion Lee Selby.

The 26-year-old was an impressive winner against Martin Lindsay on Matchroom's show in Belfast on February 9 in his second defence of the British strap.

The Barry ****er (14-1) went on a knockout streak in 2011 and after a quiet 12 months now appears to be going places again.

Warren and I think Bunce said Warren builds fighters, where as Hearn signs them. But fact is, why do fighters want to sign with Hearn? My guess would be bigger purses and prefer Sky to BoxNation. Hearn now has 2 world champs, Warren 1. Quite interesting.

builds them...gets them soft toilet paper titles, pads their stats until they are irrelevant and he has earned enough and then they leave to actually earn some respect from their peers and from fans....slow hand clap frank

hearn seems to have a much better relationship with his fighters than warren...... and i think its wrong to say he doesnt build his fighters...... look at kell brook and carl froch....... yea he signed them as already established fighters but,
froch is now getting the coverage and plaudits he deserves but never got under mick hennessy (i remember the abraham fight and i think the first kessler fight getting shown on prime time or some obscure net work) and brooks popularity has soared since he signed with hearn, also he has some great prospects in kal yafai and frampton(now actually a contender) so to say he doesn't build fighters isnt really true...... also unlike warren most fans dont think he's a c#%t
