    Did Burns really duck Broner?

...Or Schaefer didn't do well enough to make the fight happen? Like making an offer he knew will be refused? Considering Burns was set to fight Vasquez, which is exactly not an easy fight and whom Broner didn't want anything to do with.

    What's the real score here?

It wasn't him. It was his management.

I think we'll find out by the end of the year... At the end of the day Warren isn't a fan of putting on a fight he isn't 100% sure his boxer would win so I'm sure that he would've tried his arse off to get Burns to delay the fight.

Hearns strikes me as a good promoter who seems pretty honest and has mentioned that Burns would like the Broner fight... Burns isn't afraid of a loss, hell he has already had two, I think the underlying issues that have come out this week had a major say in why the Broner fight didn't come up.

Easy fight for Broner to look amazing in!

Mali isn't a puncher and likes to war, don't know why he is taking the fight to be honest.

Agreed. TS is just mad because the wannabe Floyd already does better numbers on HBO than Donaire does. Which really shouldn't surprise anyone because Broner is a personality and fights in more important divisions.

who wants anything to do with vasquez anyway...one knows the fight won't be entertaining to the fans

don't think burns ducked broner but as previously posted his handlers have basically ignored or postponed entertaining the idea of fighting broner as burns is on a pretty good winning streak

I'm pretty sure warren didn't want any part of it as he wouldn't be promoting it in the US and it isn't a fight burns would likely win...same thing with kevin mitchell who was groomed to become the next british world champ...he threw him in with a fading katsidis and got demolished, then he fed him to burns because the fight was still sellable

Burns's people turned it down flat. I'm sure Burns himself had no problem with fighting Broner, but his management didn't.

They offered Burns more money than he has ever been before in his career.
And more that he will ever see after he turned it down. it would have been a career high payday plus the props of ending the Broner hype had he won. But he turned chicken.
