Right now I see the good and the bad. In a financial sense for the fighters I can see the good. However, as far as making consistent top quality fights is where I say he may not be so good. He wants his fighters to make the most and get the most out of them so he must put them in with some competition that's solid but not real solid at times. He doesn't want his fighters in too many wars against elite prime threats. Also I feel with his huge connects in music and the entertainment industry he can bring a bit more pop culture to the game to recruit some younger fans I suppose. Like when he had Kendrick Lamar rap adrien broner to the ring once.

he's good for many of his fighters. but the extent of his influence is bad for the sport as a whole.

With all due respect, you don't know what you are talking about. Al Haymon is HORRIBLE for boxing because he violated the law that was passed a few years ago where promoters cannot be managers, and he still does that.

That is a direct conflict of interest and he does NOT look after his fighters. If you are winning sure, but he will bleed you dry once you start losing.

Monopolies are not good for ANY business and he's no different. He makes tons of money and gets his fighters the big fights, but he is in direct violation of the law that should separate him from being both a manger and promoter.

We need a boxing Czar to come in from the govt and regulate this type of stuff. Because they just push who they want to push and dominate the sport fooling fans into thinking things that aren't true.

What fighters does he promote? I've never seen the Haymon Promotions banner hanging at any boxing event.
