Rios v. Valero for lightweight supremacy

I think Valero would've KO'd Rios in a bloody war. Valero was mentally weak hence the suicide... so I wouldn't put much stock into him being all that great of a fighter when stepping up to the elite level though.

I could care less about that... there are plenty of fighters that fight/think that way. What I meant was I don't think he would've beat any great intelligent fighters. Someone like Marquez would've schooled him in my opinion. He didn't get a chance to fight elite fighters so we really never know. I find anyone that commits suicide to being mentally weak since it's the most cowardly way out. Also people like to hate on wife beaters... this piece of **** killed his wife ffs!

if they had fought, valero knocks him the F out. rios is a tough dude and i guess he punches kinda hard, but thats all he brings to the table. i think valero is a bigger puncher and much more skilled. he could out-brawl rios, or out-box him. rios would have had no chance.

I agree with this. Valero by KO in 6 rounds or less.

There's quite a few guys that would beat Valero. Rios is not one of those. Rios' chin is suspect, and Valero would hit it with a bomb eventually.
A JMM would be a way tougher fight for Valero, highly skilled

Mentally weak? Did you see the cut he sustained against DeMarco? How many fighters would have just got straight back into the fight like it was nothing? Valero was a machine.
