Thurman didn't bring the right money to the table. Thurman's no one to talk about ducking anyway, Collazo offered to fight him and Thurman refused the fight at 147 and tried to screw him into fighting at 144 and ended up with Zaveck.

In any event, Thurman and Broner's career are managed by Haymon, if they wanted Thurman to fight Paulie, they wouldn't have put Broner in ahead of him.

If it wasn't Broner, it was going to be Malignaggi's mandatory Diego Chaves getting the fight, or Humberto Soto.

He fought Morales at 140lbs 11 months before he moved up to fight Malignaggi and he had three other fights in between, including two more at 140 one of which won him the interim WBA 140lb belt.

You're right, for some reason I read it as he fought Morales 8 months before Malignaggi.

He did have three fights at 140lbs and picked up an interim belt prior to moving however.

Malignaggi's rationale on Broner's size is that Broner's not actually a big LW, it's just that he's been matched against small LWs and marketed that way.

Broner's only just moved up from 130 so he's effectively jumping 4 weight classes inside a year, regardless of who he's fighting that's a brave call by his advisors. It could go wrong.

You can spin it any way you want to, but the fact is, what Broner says doesn't mean a thing. Do you believe him when he says "who's that?"? Its all talk to get under the other fighters skin, but you are obviously not bright enough to realize that. According to all you haters, Broner can't beat guys like Rios, Garcia, and Matthysse, he's avoiding them and scared of them, so Broner must be an average fighter.

Speaking of bright, if you were brighter than a dead Rat, you would know that everyone INCLUDING Broner see the Paulie fight as easy Pickings! The public knows this and Broner is just telling the truth which is the positive thing I can say about him cause at least he is not BSing the public like some of his fans and building up Paulie into some THREAT that he is not! He is not THAT ****** to try to put a spin on it. Everyone in Boxing knows that he chose a guy who every top 8 fighter in the 140 and 147 divisions would be favored to beat. He is a cherry picking opportunist who saw TOO much risk in the 140 pound division and went for easy prey. Not at all arguable. But I give him props for being honest by his easy money statement.
