IBF light heavyweight champion Bernard Hopkins (53-6-2, 32 KOs) is in no way going to consider a future fight with WBA/WBC super middleweight champion Andre Ward. Hopkins has too much respect for Ward, considers him a friend, and says there is no amount of money that would make him fight Ward. On Saturday night, Hopkins broke his own record, at age 48, by becoming the oldest boxer to ever win a world championship by winning a twelve round decision over Tavoris Cloud (24-1, 19 KOs).

For one, you guys together aren't exciting at all so you would never get that amount of purse to begin with. Two, Ward beats you because he knows your tricks very well because he uses them his damn self and he is younger and fresher.

You only fight fighters you can beat. The only reason you took that Chad Dawson fight was because it was heavily pushed on you, there's no doubt in my mind that you wouldn't have fought Dawson if it wasn't pushed on you. You even said you were robbed after clearly getting beat by Dawson.

Stick with the little boys like Nathan Cleverly, because Andre Ward would school you when you were younger and at this point of your career.

Can't believe Ward is willing to fall for this - I'm sure he knows what's going on. Seems like he's ok with it because he hasn't called him out or made concessions like Dawson did. It's just an old man trick any one of us would use in his position, but Ward is taking the bait. It could change, the way Hopkins has been patronizing him lately must get to him, I'm sure some part of him wants the fight.
