I think Broner is going to win this fight by KO. I am hoping Matthysse keeps on winning and Golden Boy is forced to make Broner vs. Matthysse.

If anything Pauli will present Broner with real problems that he has never seen at the lower weight classes.

At the end of the day, people just love to hate on Broner so they are making it out that he has some kind of advantage by jumping up 2 weight classes.
Come on Wess. Lets be serious here. The only reason Golden Boy and team Broner made this fight was to keep Broner safe from 140. He said that he was going to stay at 135 but all of a sudden he is jumping two divisions to fight Malignaggi? He's going to kick Pauli's ass. Can't cosign this fight as being competitive because it was never meant to be.

I just think boxers should have at least one fight at that weight class before they fight for the belt.

I dont get the fuss about Broner missing 140.

The only fights I want to see Broner at 140 are Rios and matthyse

I'll keep saying it. The best entertainment value pairing would be Broner vs Khan.

I really don't see why people are so hung up over him jumping over 140...

EVERY NAME fighter in the division is currently tied up. You want a 23 year old potential PPV star to sit idle till the end of the year? It's a business and that holds up his momentum.

Broner is in a lose/lose situation. He can't stay at 135, clearly Burns won't fight him. So he moves up to a 140 lb division where all the top fighters are tied up, and fights a lower ranked fighter to stay busy, they'll say he's ducking.

Some of the comments in here are ridiculous.

They're essentially in the same weight class. Broner looked big in his last fight, not only because Rees is puny, but for the weight. And Paulie has been a JW most of his career, so there's no real advantage there. And as far as the fight goes, yeah, he fought big names but never got a win and that was when he had the legs to move around the ring. Now that he's more idle, it's not gonna a fun night for him.

As long as he moves back to 140, I have no problem with the fight or the fact that he's jumping two weight classes north.

Broner is green and not as "great" as people make him out to be. Pauli can't punch just like most all the opponents Broner has faced.

However Pauli is more experienced and has been in the ring with bigger and stronger fighters. He can move and has speed. This won't be as easy as people are trying to make it out to be. Will Broner win? Most definitely. Will it be easy, I don't think so.

Remember, Pauli was signed to fight Mosley. Broner jumped in. It's not like this was some massive plan that has been going down for years. Broner saw an opening and was granted the chance. Pauli is a lot more known than anyone Broner fights at 135 and most everyone at 140 is busy. This is NOT that bad of a fight. In fact I like the fight, a lot actually.
