I see a potential Thurman vs. Ortiz fight in a few more fights.

Zaveck did tag him a few times, but I still think he needs his chin tested a little more.

    Overall, he's the goods.
    i don't see it yet

WTF??? If he did that, then he'd stay a prospect. You have to improve. Tonight's opponent called for more boxing. His next opponent might call for brawling. He has to test his abilities in the ring.

I think the Magic Man, Desert Storm and the Great beats him as well...if you can get by his power, a decent boxer who is not a 36 year old euro bum will expose things in him.
Money wouldn't beat one time in the likely timeline that a fight between the two would happen. If a fight like that were to happen it would be in a few years from now, in other words Mayweather will be even FURTHER aged. Mayweather has been slowing down in his last few fights, this is going to continue.

One thing we know for sure is he has tremendous power. I have to see more out of him before I make a judgement on him but he looked pretty good tonight imo.

I don't understand what fight you see Money slowing down in....we just watched a 48 year old man beat a 31 year old man with power. Money wouldn't lose to One Time at any age. Money can adjust and adapt and think in the ring.

One Time was getting hit with shorten up right hands from a unathletic 36 year old euro-bum and he was taking rounds off (you can't do that with Money)...Vicious had power, that didn't beat Money and you can't tell me that One time is a better boxer than Money.

One Time wouldn't even beat Desert Storm, Magic Man and the Great....why are you even putting him in the same sentence with Money.

Age has not effect on fighters like Money and the Executioner because they are thinkers in the ring.

I like Thurman but he needs to bring up his left hand, Zaveck came pretty close to his chin.

I see the overhead right giving him trouble if he can't adapt soon.

the way you improve is fight better opponents and they force you test your abilities ,that was a spar session .in my opinion he went out his way to extend the fight and get reps, many times he'd hurt him and back away uncharacteristicly. when you fight less than stella opp you get them outta there cause you can slip up and get caught which he did a couple of times.plus he is who he is a brawler he's not going to be confused with sweet pea ever isn't that why ppl like brandon rios, just be true to what you do

this, he was wide open at times and the Russian was landing a few swings.

The same guy that Berto fought, and was getting beaten up by?

The point is, he's not ready. Zaveck is a dangerous ass opponent for anyone. That's why I said that Thurman is the goods. That doesn't mean you have to rush him.

Tonight's fight showed that he isn't just a brawler. The point of the fight was to step up his competition, and test out his BOXING abilities.

Give him 2-3 more fights, then he'll be ready for Ortiz. You seem to think Ortiz is just some stepping stone. Ortiz is the real deal. You fight him when you're ready.

Thurman is only 24, he has a high ceiling. You want him to be as comfortable as possible with new skills, and techniques you're teaching him, and make it second nature to him first. Then throw him in there with an Ortiz.
