Watched tape on Jose Napoles just now. Shows me nothing that warrants him being levels above Marquez. Has a great uppercut and length though.

Please don't bring up Pitty Pad Leonard, you might aswell add Calzaghe with his slap combos while you're at it. Taylor with his flashy combinations have shown me more than Leonard and Calzaghe.

No, I would even go as far as to say Marqez is the greatest combination puncher the sport has ever seen. Marquez diversified his attack more than Leonard did; mixed it up better, Leonard was more of trying to overwhelm you with his speed.

Yeah Leonard and Napoles were not power combo counter punchers like Marquez, Marquez rarely ever used a jab his offense is pretty much his defense, he is a true matador counter puncher in the mold of Ricardo Finito Lopez who I would rank as the best combo counter puncher.

Marquez defense was also his offense back step counter, he throws those crisp clean 3 punch combos often, Leonard and Napoles didn't throw counter punch power combos often, they would mix it up with jabs from time to time and a few flurries.

He did but his lack of power in his right hand stops me from listing him, and his right hand is underrated in the sense that he was accurate with it, used it frequently but many here would have you think his right hand was that useless, it only lacked power.
